Hamsters have become a very important part of RollerCoin over the past year. Once a game that was primarily about gathering and placing crypto miners in a room to gain power, it has transformed immensely into one that is focused on furry little animals. For both new and older players alike, this is an important distinction considering many still feel it's about the miners, so this is the first guide of a set that is designed to help you understand the why behind why RollerCoin hamsters are so important, how to get them, and which ones are currently the best to be focusing on. So let's burrow in and start with the main question: Why?

Why are RollerCoin Hamsters so Important?

In the beginning, hamsters were solely about sending them on Expeditions to gain rewards, mainly miners. What started as just a few hamsters kept growing, and now there is an entire roster of them (with 33 hamsters currently available or announced, as the Cuzcuz hamster is coming out in a few days!). They encompass a whole suite of abilities now as well, with each new one released coming out with different abilities than the others, with some even bringing about new ones in both Ultimate abilities and passive abilities alike.

As of recent, the game has been changing a lot in regards to their abilities, too. There were hamsters like Anomaly bringing in crypto, Mamita bringing in experience for all other hamsters in players' rosters, and more. Now, however, we have multiple hamsters that are giving out things like Remote Bonus and Remote Power. Hammy Hooks has Remote Power, for example, giving 5x raw room power as a bonus while he's active on an expedition. On the other hand, Kitsumi has Remote Bonus, which gives (Kitsumi stats * 2% * raw room power) as a bonus, granting up to 600% at her maximum level.

But why is that so important when most rooms above the Gold leagues are already at 10,000%+ bonus power? One word: "Temporary."

Temporary Bonuses and Leagues

When you go through and look at the powers that fit within each of RollerCoin's leagues, it's important to note that these do not include any temporary powers, hamsters included. But what does this mean in reality? That you can go over the maximum power of your league and dominate it, so to speak. Whereas the game used to cap people at the tip of their league's power, there are now players at 15-20x (or more) above the maximum power of their league due to things like having a lot of hamster bonuses. As a direct example, let's take a look at the Platinum I league, which limits you to 50 EH/s of permanent power before crossing over. As of the time of this writing, this is the chart for how much you would earn at the absolute tip:

That would put you at about $0.57 per day. At the same time, this is the current leader of Platinum I:

If you notice, he's at over 100x the cap of the league, with 6,019 EH/s. Put into our RollerCoin earnings calculator, you see this:

As you can see, this is a massive jump up and well above what you used to be able to get at the top of the league. In fact, it's even higher than the current top RollerCoin King!

So, as you can see, it's not miners that are the new meta; it's hamsters. And with multiple out that now give bonuses, playing the game right is important if you want to maximize your earnings. Future guides mixed with Hammy tools can help you get to the forefront of your league with the smallest investment possible, ensuring you get the most you possibly can if you're hunting for a high ROI!
